There is a great variation in colour, size and taste in avocados. At the Canary Islands we got a lot of unnamed varieties raised from seeds besides the known like Hass, Fuerte, Pinkerton, Bacon and so on.

Flowering occurs normally during February, March and there are some off season flowering in autumn.

Harvest is between 6 and 18 months after flowering. For example can Fuerte be collected between November and July, Hass from January to August, Pinkerton from February to September.
