The number of these pieces varies according to that authors study them; but all conclude in that are the main in the heraldic figures, and therefore those most used ones.

BOSS. It symbolizes the gentleman's helmet, the bun and sometimes the crown of that that is titled. It was granted to the gentleman that wounded left in the head of a combat, there being you ennobled by it.

 

STICK. With this piece it was rewarded the soldier that, breaking the enemy lines, it penetrated in their camp, the stakes or external defenses that garnished him starting up.

 

It BANDS. This piece represents the gentleman's heart, putting on in the shields in representation of the wounds that received in the body, and of the blood of the enemies.

 

CRUZ. It is the symbol of the sword of the gentlemen to who this piece was granted when they returned of the combat, with its spotted sword of blood enemy.

 

BAND. It is symbol of the Tahalí with which the gentlemen took the sword and also of the color band that you/they used on their armor the generals and captains; the first ones took it from right to left.

 

SWEEP. The same as the band, is also symbol of the Tahalí. In the case of the captains, the color band, they take it from left to right.

 

 

CROSS. Also called sotuer, it symbolizes the unbeaten commander's banner in the combats. It is also memory of the battle of Baeza, won by the Spaniards Santiago Apostle's day. (1227).

 

HOIST. It is emblem of the boots and spurs, and for it was granted it to the gentleman that wounded of the combat left in the legs; other times it is symbol of force, stability, effort and value.

 

BORDURA. It symbolizes protection, favor and it rewards. The gentlemen that brought their spotted bench mark of blood enemy when leaving the combat, were granted as badge of value.

 

PERLA. Of varied symbolism, some point out to the Sacred Trinidad"; others that it is the emblem of the gentleman's three devotions, Their God, their King and their Lady."

 

CAMPAIGN. Also called beard, this piece symbolizes the force and the audacity.

 

 

ESCUSON. It is almost always some sovereign's concession and their payee's loving distinguishing characteristic, showing this way in I publish their pretenses and desires.
