• scrdrv.tgz - Andreas Beck's original SCRDRV sources. Outdated, but there's still some stuff there that has yet to be folded into GGI.
• vgadoc4b.zip - TONS of info on most common video cards. An invaluable reference.
• Article by Linas Vepstas about the proper way to design high-performance graphics hardware.
• The X Consortium - Develops the X Window System(TM).
• Dimension3D - A good site.
• RGB Series Palette DACs - Specs. Application Notes, Etc.
• Monitor Specs - Specs for over 800 PC monitors.
• Mac Monitor Database - The Mac Monitor Database has specifications and compatibility information on thousands of monitors.
• System Support for OpenGL Direct Rendering - paper on providing maximum performance rendering for OpenGL.

GGI work

• GGI DocBook Documentation: Preliminary work on more advanced documentation and automatic manpage generation.
• Experimental new GGI design: A playground for an alternate (in author's opinion: better) design for GGI libraries.
• Multi-Adaptor Compatibility Matrix: A table summarizing video card compatibility when doing multi-head.
• EvStack (a.k.a. GGI console): A redesign of the Linux console system to provide more flexibility, power, etc. See also the EvStack paper.

Software used by GGI

• Framebuffer-HOWTO: information on fbcon for 2.1.x kernels.
• Getting the vger Linux kernel: KGIcon may work better with the vger kernel (which is under CVS) in place of Linus' kernel.
